Are you sick of Country Pants and Chainmail Chausses yet? How about now? Low-level armor art variety in GW2 is pretty limited. If you’re looking for some fancy new threads, Redditor Imaginos has created a visual guide to armor karma vendors and their locations throughout Tyria.
These karma vendors appear in a variety of areas ranging from Queensdale to Mount Maelstrom. Fear not, though, lower-level players, as the vast majority of the armor sets are, in fact, available in the beginning and intermediate level 1-25 zones.
There are two professions that wear heavy armor: the Warrior and the Guardian. If you are playing one of those professions and you want to create items that you can use, then you’ll want to consider taking up the Armorsmith discipline. This discipline focuses on creating heavy armor and upgrades for armor that has open upgrades slots available.
In traditional MMOs, items are the reason for playing the game, for griding through dungeon after dungeon to obtain the highest-level gear possible.
Given the fact that Guild Wars 2 challenges this by essentially removing that gear grind, the role that all items play in the game, armor and weapons, takes on a different meaning.
For the core professions in the original Guild Wars, there were just over 30 armor sets to collect and wear, including elite and prestige armor. It appears, on launch, that this will also be the case for all three armor classes – scholar, adventurer, and soldier respectively – in Guild Wars II, at least in player versus player areas.
Elixabethclairec has uploaded a rare but much wanted crafting video from the Press Beta. We found it standing next to the Loch Ness monster and Elvis. Take a snapshot because no one is going to believe you.
