This weekend, the ESL (Electronic Sports League) announced that a Guild Wars 2 section on its way. While we can only dream about this news right now, this might be one of the first largest e-sport announcements made before the game comes out. Will this news echo on other e-sports actors?
ArenaNet already stated their great expectations for the Guild Wars 2 e-sport scene. The community is warming up in the e-sport gym, and the actors are preparing themselves to share this great experience with the fans.
Meanwhile, the news might have put a smile on many faces. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
Where do you think it will go? Comment after the break!

Could I ask for a source? I can't find anything.

Sounds fun, I think it would be great to watch tournaments with prizes for gw2 players!
"Hopefully goign nowhere and will fail as E-sprot we really dont need or want that kidna people in GW2"
Even if it fails as a esport it will still end up getting those people who take the game to seriously and refuse to take x player because he doesn't use y.....Or because they look funny.
I imagine that a lot of League of Legends pros will migrate to this game once observer mode is implemented.

can't tell if trolling...or serious. If trolling, please don't. You don't make the mod (me) very happy. If serious, then whatever. I, and many others, don't agree with your opinion but you have a right to have one. But try to tone down the gloom and doom, okay? :) Thanks.
@ananamoose Alaka keeps posting about his or her hatred toward e-sports with numerous typos. One can only pray to Odin that it's a troll. Either way, a sad individual.
@Faelor yeah I think I've seen a few other posts that were deleted. If it happens again, I'll ban them :)
Huuuuuuge news really glad about this :D
