The appearance of the Guild Wars 2 launcher has been updated and now prompts users to login prior to clicking ‘play’. Additionally, there is a new patch available totaling about 2 gigs of data. Definitely recommend downloading it sooner than later!

Anyone know if this has any effect on the -image target line extension? My husband ran his normal updater and I ran the -image, the Download sizes were the same.
I am loving the chrono hash. So if you prefer the old launcher then use the parameter -useoldlauncher. The new launcher is way better on multiple logins, while waiting for the servers to be back online or if you're already annoyed by the login music, though.
@OldLauncherPro where would one put in that parameter?
@ananamoose Just open the GW2-client-shortcut on your desktop and add "-useoldlauncher" at the end of the "target"-field in the "shortcut" tab (sorry if it varies a bit - I am using the german client and this is a free translation).
@OladLauncherPro Thanks so much! ^_^
@OladLauncherPro @ananamoose Spot on mate :) Danke schön!
It's normal I got an error at log in right, cause servers aren't up yet?
@xyz123
As long as it is 9:4:5:1162
@xyz123 yup, that seems to replace the old message you would get if you tried to log in from within the app
I'm kinda curious what this new version would do if you got to log in before it finished downloading but maybe it just downloads what it needs at each loading screen like GW1
@Martin O whule downloading u just cant to press @Play@ button, only login in system i guess
