Elisabeth Cardy over at Massively sat down to share her experiences as a Norn, daring the dangers of the Snowden Drift. From being waist deep in Svanir bodies to taking a leisurely, albeit chilly, swim in the lake nearby, she hits a few points of interest in the area including a mechanic that feeds information to the player about the state of the zone. If there is trouble stirring, you will be the first to hear about it and act upon it.
One nice thing is that with maps as big as they are, the designers didn’t feel the need to cram trash mobs into every nook and cranny. I went for a delightful swim in some ice caves near the lake and was totally undisturbed, just me and some glacial remnants. It only makes sense, really.
